Outsider Tip
Look for the recently restored stream, where an old farm dam was removed and the natural creek banks were planted with native species.

Support the Natural Lands Trust
Natural Lands Trust seeks volunteers and members to help protect and care for Binky Lee Preserve and its many other natural areas. Members are invited to dozens of outings each year including canoe trips, bird walks, hikes and much more. Learn more at www.natlands.org.

Natural Lands Trust

As you walk the trails of the 89-acre expanse of former agricultural land at Binky Lee, you can’t help but notice that the hill is steep. But don’t give up! It’s worth the climb. The land is currently being converted back to more natural woodlands and meadows. And from the top you’ll get a view of undeveloped woodlands and fields in all directions, offering a rare glimpse of Chester County past.

Today, Binky Lee is a showcase for the power of good land management techniques, as fields that had been degraded through farm use are now becoming a diverse and healthy habitat.

COME PREPARED

The preserve is open from sunrise to sunset. Pets must be leashed, while alcoholic beverages, motorized vehicles and mountain bikes are not allowed. Horseback riders are welcome, but you must ride in, because there’s nowhere to park a trailer. Maps and other material are available in the kiosk by the parking area. More details are available at www.natlands.org.

DON'T MISS
The preserve holds a silent auction and community picnic in May and an evening of stargazing in October.
